Custom Wood Furniture from Lancaster County

Handmade Wooden Furniture from Lancaster County

When remodeling your home, the endless choices of manufactured, sub-par materials, finishes, and products can be disappointing. You’re not looking to have your house be a replica of every other house on your block. Plus, all those home improvement stores and warehouses are cold and unfriendly, and good luck trying to find someone to help you out!

Joel Bare Woodworking knows that you want the furnishings in your home to be as unique as you are. Located in Lancaster County PA, we have been designing and creating custom wood countertops and custom furniture since 2000.

Custom Wood Countertops

Our wood countertops are as beautiful as they are functional. All natural and stunning, we use only the best materials. Design-wise, wood countertops offer an alternative to the run-of-the-mill cold granite and stone kitchen counters. We treat all the wood we use with reverence, which means we always highlight the wood’s natural grain, color, and personality.

The types of wood we commonly use are:

  • American Cherry with reddish, dark tones
  • Maple with light, cream tones
  • Walnut with dark brown or gray tones
  • Red oak with wheat brown to strawberry brown tones

Beyond kitchen counters, we also create custom bar tops. Every one of your favorite bars has that bar top that has a spark of personality and distinctiveness that makes it stand out. When in need of a bar top, we can design and create a bar with it own singular character and feel.

Handcrafted Wood Furniture

At Joel Bare Woodworking, we also design and build custom wood furniture for any room in your home. If you need a kitchen table in the Danish modern style or a Scandinavian Minimalist desk, or even a rustic bed frame, we can create a piece that fits you and your home.

We use only the best materials for your custom wood furniture, and each piece is made completely by hand by Joel. That means you new table will be built with precision, care, and love.

Our Process

We have a collaborative process that always take your input into account. Upon our first visit, we will talk with you to get a good sense of what you’re looking for in your new counter top or piece of furniture. From there, we will give you a detailed rendering or sketch. Then you will be able to help choose the wood, finishes, and hardware and will be given an estimate. You are always welcome to come visit the shop by appointment during the building process.

Joel Bare Woodworking in Lancaster County PA takes on both residential and commercial projects. Our kitchen counters, custom bar tops, and furniture are all handcrafted with the finest materials and woods. We take great pride in everything we build. Come visit as today when you’re looking to replace those old counter tops with beautiful, warm wood counters that will be the envy of the neighborhood.
